Adding mayonnaise to chocolate cake batter will make a creamier and super moist chocolate cake. This secret ingredient works better than sour cream, milk or more oil in creating a rich and luxurious cake. This chocolate mayonnaise cake recipe is simple and easy to do and eradicates the need for eggs since mayonnaise is generally made of eggs. Other ingredients used to make this Michelin recipe include all-purpose flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, sugar, salt, vanilla extract and strong coffee.
Coffee is another secret ingredient for making extraordinary chocolate cake. The freshly brewed coffee added to the batter will deepen the chocolate flavor without overpowering the chocolate taste. After make a strong brew of fresh coffee, allow it to come to room temperature before adding it to the batter. It is best for all the ingredients to be at room temperature before they are mixed in together. Allow at least an hour for all the ingredients to come to room temperature.
