An outline of the account of the world's most wanted drink


African adult females would gather the ready fruits from trees, beat them with animal fat for the men to eat before any battles. This mix made them tire less easily resulting to more triumphs.

Some say it has been disclosed by a goatherd named Kaldi in the 9th century. Kaldi, noticed his goats energized behaviour after consuming some unusual red berries from a plant.

It was but in 1000 AD that coffee  a beverage. The Arabs poured boiled water on ground and roasted beans to produce the very first hot drink.

From Ethiopia, coffee extended to Egypt and Yemen. There is grounds of coffee being used in the Sufi monasteries in the 15th century. Subsequently coffee spread to other Muslim states and north Africa.

The first extensive cultivation of coffee takes place during the 1400s and 1500s , in the Yemen part of Arabia. Coffee as we love it is formulated at the conclusion of 1400s , as crushing and roasting the coffee beans and then drawing their flavour with hot water grows in adoption.

Coffee makes it to Europe around 1600, in Venice Italy. The first cafe surfaces in Italy in 1654. By 1763, Venice has over 2,000 coffee shops.


By 2000 coffee is one of the world's most-consumed beverages, with more than 450 billion cups enjoyed each year!
